Progress Clears Tempest Keep and Serpentshrine Cavern 58 Minutes After Launch

Progress Clears Tempest Keep and Serpentshrine Cavern 58 Minutes After Launch

Progress wasted no time in The Burning Crusade Anniversary Phase 2, finishing every Tier 5 boss in Tempest Keep and Serpentshrine Cavern just 58 minutes after the raids went live. The result and initial details were reported by the Wowhead Classic team.

The report credits a huge amount of preparation, and notes that a parkour-style pipe jump may have helped seal the run — a detail Wowhead frames as a possibility rather than a confirmed tactic. Beyond that, specifics are light for now. As more public logs and perspectives appear, the community will get a clearer picture of the route and execution.

Note: Our summary is grounded solely in Wowhead’s report. If additional confirmed details surface, we’ll update.

Quick UI takeaways for your own T5 night

Speed on release night is rarely about raw DPS alone. Clean visuals and fast inputs make a big difference when your raid is threading pulls and executing movement-heavy strategies. If you’re pushing TK/SSC this week, a little UI housekeeping goes a long way:

    • Minimize visual noise. Turn down combat text spam and hide non-essential UI elements during boss fights so mechanics stay readable.
    • Prioritize nameplate clarity. High-contrast plates and larger cast bars help with snap-targeting interrupts, mind controls, and priority spawns.
    • Tune camera and movement. Use the maximum camera distance and comfortable strafe/jump binds to handle tight positioning and any “parkour” moments.
    • Streamline target marking. Set keybinds for raid markers in the default Key Bindings menu so you aren’t fishing through the dropdown mid-pull.
    • Keep raid frames lean. Show only what you need (dispellable debuffs, mana, and role icons) to speed up triage and reduce eye travel.

Congratulations to Progress on a blistering Tier 5 clear. Whether you’re chasing times or just aiming for a smooth first week, small UI tweaks add real consistency — and consistency is what wins raid nights.

Save Up to 50% on The Burning Crusade Anniversary Packs and Services Through May 18

Save Up to 50% on Burning Crusade Anniversary Packs and Services Through May 18

According to a Wowhead report, Blizzard has put The Burning Crusade Anniversary upgrade packs on sale now through May 18. The Outland Heroic Pack and Outland Epic Pack are each 50% off for the duration, and the standalone character boost is also discounted during this window.

Note: The discounts end on May 18. If you’re considering a bundle, don’t wait until the last minute.

Both bundles include cosmetics tied to the Anniversary version of Burning Crusade, with mounts and pets that also apply to Retail collections, per Wowhead’s write-up. If you’re returning for Outland and want a cleaner runway, these are meant to pack in theme items and conveniences.

    • Outland Epic Pack — Includes everything in the Heroic Pack, plus a Level 58 Character Boost (Anniversary) and 30 days of game time.
    • Outland Heroic Pack — Includes a Netherdrake flying mount, Phase-Hunter ground mount, a Whelping pet, an Exodar toy, and a Naaru-themed Hearthstone effect for various WoW collections, and more.

If you just need a jump-start for an Outland alt, the standalone level boost is also on sale, though the Wowhead post doesn’t list all regional prices. For specifics and purchase links, start with the Wowhead announcement.

Heads-up for Hardcore and Era players: As covered by Warcraft Tavern, there isn’t a Hardcore version of The Burning Crusade Anniversary. Characters that remain on Hardcore realms continue in Classic (vanilla), not into TBC Anniversary. These Anniversary bundles mainly serve characters progressing into Outland.

Short version: if you’re planning to spend time in Outland during the Anniversary, this is a straightforward way to pick up themed cosmetics, and the Epic Pack adds both a boost and game time. The sale runs through May 18.

  • TBC Anniversary Phase 2 launches May 14: SSC, The Eye, Arena Season 2, and Swift Flight Form

TBC Anniversary Phase 2 launches May 14: SSC, The Eye, Arena Season 2, and Swift Flight Form

TBC Anniversary Phase 2 launches May 14: SSC, The Eye, Arena Season 2, and Swift Flight Form

Blizzard has outlined what’s coming in the next phase of The Burning Crusade Anniversary. Wowhead’s roundup lists the global rollout and the headline features, including the two big raids and fresh progression targets around Outland.

Global launch: May 14 at 3:00 PM PDT / 23:00 BST.

    What’s new at a glance

    • Two raids: Tempest Keep – The Eye (Kael’thas Sunstrider) and Serpentshrine Cavern (Lady Vashj).
    • Arena Season 2 with new rewards and updated progression.
    • Swift Flight Form: a Druid questline that culminates with Anzu in Heroic Sethekk Halls, including the Idol of the Raven Goddess.
    • New daily factions: Ogri’la and the Sha’tari Skyguard.
    • New profession recipes: Engineering epic goggles and Alchemy discoveries, including raid-friendly cauldrons.

The raid section of Wowhead’s post also notes that access to Serpentshrine Cavern and The Eye requires preparation, so make sure your team has their prerequisites sorted ahead of pull time. Wowhead further mentions “SSC & TK post-nerf difficulty testing” slated for May 1; that’s context from Blizzard’s additional details, not a verdict on tuning.

If you’re lining up UI work before the gates open, keep it simple and focused. Clean raid frames and boss timers are the big wins for SSC and The Eye. Make room on your bars for consumables if your guild plans to lean into the new Alchemy cauldrons, and double-check your combat text/cooldown tracking so Arena Season 2 doesn’t surprise you with missing alerts. Druids starting Swift Flight Form may want a spare action bar slot ready for quest items inside Heroic Sethekk Halls.

Note: For the full list of official details and the exact launch timing, see Wowhead’s coverage of Blizzard’s announcement. There’s also community speculation on the broader roadmap over on MMO-Champion’s forum, but treat those posts as theorycraft until Blizzard confirms more.

  • Children’s Week Is Live in Classic, TBC, and MoP Classic: Where to Start and What You’ll Get

Children’s Week Is Live in Classic, TBC, and MoP Classic: Where to Start and What You’ll Get

Children’s Week is live now through May 4 in WoW Classic, The Burning Crusade Anniversary, and Mists of Pandaria Classic. If you’ve got a free evening and a soft spot for Azeroth’s tiniest adventurers, this is a quick, low-level-friendly event with a cute pet reward at the end. For the official dates and a broad overview, see Wowhead Classic’s news post on the event, Adventure with the Orphans of Azeroth During Children’s Week. Warcraft Secrets also flagged the same April 27–May 4 window in their Children’s Week 2026 note.

Where to start (and who can participate)

Any character level 10 or higher can pick up an orphan companion and take them on a short tour. Talk to an Orphan Matron in one of the following hubs to get started:

    • Alliance: Orphan Matron Nightingale in Stormwind
    • Horde: Orphan Matron Battlewail in Orgrimmar
    • Neutral: Orphan Matron Mercy in Shattrath
    • Neutral: Orphan Matron Aria in Dalaran

Alliance characters can adopt Human and Draenei orphans, while Horde characters can adopt Orc and Blood Elf orphans. Both factions can adopt either of the Oracles or the Frenzyheart Tribe orphans. Once you’ve chosen a companion and completed their requested stops, you’ll pick a non-combat pet as your reward. According to Wowhead Classic’s post, these pets are account-wide.

Note: The event runs for a single week (April 27–May 4). If you plan to do it on multiple characters or across different Classic flavors, don’t wait until the last day.

    Quick UI and routing tips

Children’s Week is simple, but a little prep keeps it smooth:

    • Keep the orphan’s quest objectives at the top of your log so you don’t bury them under dungeons or dailies.
    • Plan your travel in one loop. You’ll be guiding your orphan around Azeroth, so stack nearby stops to reduce backtracking.
    • If you’re an altoholic, remember the reward pets are described as account-wide—finishing on one character can benefit your roster.

If you need the full quest breakdowns or want to compare the different pet choices before you commit, start with the Wowhead Classic roundup. It covers the event across Classic, TBC Anniversary, and MoP Classic.

That’s it—grab an orphan, show them a few sights, and pick up a companion pet for your troubles. It’s a short, feel-good loop that fits neatly between raid nights.

  • The Noblegarden Holiday Event is Now Live in WoW Classic, TBC & MoP

The Noblegarden Holiday Event is Now Live in WoW Classic, TBC & MoP

Noblegarden is live in WoW Classic, TBC Anniversary, and MoP Classic

Noblegarden has returned across multiple versions of World of Warcraft. According to Warcraft Tavern, the event looks different depending on where you play: in WoW Classic and The Burning Crusade Anniversary, Noblegarden runs for a single day, while in Mists of Pandaria Classic it spans a full week. All versions revolve around hunting eggs in the starting zones, but the rewards and goals vary by era.

On Classic and TBC Anniversary realms, the focus is simple and quick: search for eggs and hope for a tuxedo, a dress, or a few basic consumables. In MoP Classic, there’s more to chase over the week, including achievements and additional cosmetic rewards. Warcraft Tavern also notes that retail’s “Midnight” realm starts its Noblegarden a little later, separate from the Classic timelines.

    What to expect by version

    • WoW Classic & TBC Anniversary: one-day event, egg hunts in starting zones, with a chance at a tuxedo, a dress, and basic consumables.
    • MoP Classic: week-long event with achievements and extra cosmetic rewards.

Note: Event length and available rewards differ across versions. If you’re on Classic or TBC Anniversary, the window is short—plan accordingly. If you’re on MoP Classic, you have the full week to work through achievements and cosmetics.

If you want a deeper walkthrough by version, Warcraft Tavern has published coverage for these Noblegarden runs. Check your in-game calendar and starting zones to get going.

  • Mists of Pandaria Classic Phase 5 launches June 2 with Siege of Orgrimmar and Timeless Isle

Mists of Pandaria Classic Phase 5 launches June 2 with Siege of Orgrimmar and Timeless Isle

Mists of Pandaria Classic’s fifth phase lands on June 2, 2026, bringing Siege of Orgrimmar and the Timeless Isle. Blizzard confirmed the update in a forum post (Mists of Pandaria Classic: The Siege of Orgrimmar Update Arrives June 2). Blizzard Watch reports the raid itself opens globally on June 4 at 3:00 p.m. Pacific (6:00 p.m. Eastern), two days after the patch goes live.

If you’re planning your week: patch arrives after regular maintenance on June 2, with the raid opening June 4; Timeless Isle content starts with the patch date. That’s the short version—details and quick UI prep tips below.

What to expect in Phase 5

Siege of Orgrimmar launches June 4 at 3:00 p.m. Pacific, per Blizzard Watch. Their post also notes this tier ties into Wrathion’s Legendary Cloak finale; if you’ve kept up, you can pick up the last stretch at the Tavern in the Mists when Phase 5 begins.

Timeless Isle arrives with the patch on June 2. As outlined by Blizzard Watch, expect the Emperor Shaohao faction, Timeless Coins as a new currency, and multiple world bosses at the Celestial Court. Ordos remains gated behind completion of Wrathion’s Legendary Cloak, and Emperor Shaohao reputation comes from activity on the Isle (including Yaungol and world bosses). Coins can be spent at Isle vendors.

Transmog and Proving Grounds are part of the 5.5.4 patch according to Blizzard’s PTR notes (5.5.4 PTR Development Notes). The notes state the new Transmog system is available on PTR and call out Proving Grounds scenarios as part of the update.

Celestial Dungeons (Season 3) also appear in the PTR notes. Blizzard describes Kor’kron forces occupying MoP dungeons, new enemy buffs, and Celestial blessings for players—framing a seasonal remix of the dungeons for this patch cycle (PTR notes).

Note: Dates and features here are drawn from Blizzard’s forum announcement and PTR notes, with raid timing reported by Blizzard Watch. PTR details can change before they hit live servers.

UI prep tips for day one

Update your core raid tools before Thursday. Keep your boss mod and any Siege-specific WeakAuras current once authors push Phase 5 builds. If you use a UI pack, check for a Phase 5 profile to avoid conflicts with new spell IDs and encounter events.

For Timeless Isle, enable nameplate aura widgets and clear combat text so you can track short buffs, procs, and ground effects in the chaos. A simple coordinates display and a minimap button bar make rare hunting and vendor hopping less clumsy.

If you’re finishing the Legendary Cloak, add a saved equipment set for your “questing/Isle” loadout and bind it to a convenient key. Keep your chat timestamps and loot alerts visible—Timeless Coins and reputation gains disappear fast in spammy combat logs.

Planning to try Proving Grounds when they arrive? Use a lightweight unitframe layout with clear target-of-target and prominent interrupt/defensive cooldown icons. It helps you read the scenario pacing without UI clutter.

Finally, sanity-check your keybinds and action bars after the patch. Major updates can nudge bar paging and hidden binds; a 60-second spot check in a target dummy area can save a pull in Siege.

  • Mists of Pandaria Classic Hotfix — Warrior Tier 15 Set Fix

Mists of Pandaria Classic Hotfix — Warrior Tier 15 Set Fix

Blizzard has released a targeted hotfix for Mists of Pandaria Classic, addressing how the Warrior 4-piece Tier 15 damage set bonus behaves when changing stances.

    According to Community Manager Kaivax:

    Warrior
    • The 4-piece damage Tier 15 set is no longer removed when the player changes stances.
    • The 4-piece damage Tier 15 set is now applied to the player even if they cast Recklessness while in Defensive Stance, but it does not provide any effect and will read as granting 0% increased critical strike chance.
    • The 4-piece damage Tier 15 set now updates dynamically based on the player’s stance. If the player enters Defensive Stance from Battle or Berserker, the buff is set to 0% instead of removed. If the player enters Battle or Berserker Stance from Defensive Stance, the buff is set back to 35% instead of removed.

This change ensures that the Tier 15 bonus persists properly across stance swaps, reducing confusion and improving consistency for Warriors juggling stances during combat.

  • TBC Anniversary Hotfix — Karazhan Chess Event Tweaked!

TBC Anniversary Hotfix — Karazhan Chess Event Tweaked!

Blizzard has just rolled out a small but noteworthy hotfix for World of Warcraft Classic: The Burning Crusade Anniversary celebration!

According to Community Manager Kaivax, the team addressed an issue with one of the most iconic encounters in Karazhan:

Fixed an issue that was causing the Karazhan Chess Event to run much faster than intended, allowing Medivh to cheat more often than he should. Sneaky Medivh!

Players had noticed that the Chess Event was completing at an unusually rapid pace — giving Medivh (and sometimes players!) an advantage that wasn’t part of the design. This hotfix restores the intended pacing and difficulty, ensuring the event feels as epic as it’s meant to be.
