Arena MMR Now Visible in TBC Anniversary: Post‑Match Ratings for Both Teams

Arena MMR Now Visible in TBC Anniversary

Blizzard has hotfixed The Burning Crusade Anniversary so the Arena results screen now shows each team’s pre-match Matchmaking Rating (MMR) after a game. The change went live with the June 2 maintenance and was announced in an official forum post. As Blizzard explains, the goal is to give players more information so they can better contextualize rating changes from match to match.

Functionally, nothing extra is required on your end: finish an Arena, open the results panel, and you’ll see the pre-match MMR for both teams listed there. This is a small UI tweak, but it answers a lot of post-game questions about why a win barely moved your rating or why a loss stung more than expected. Wowhead also covered the update if you want a quick recap: Visible Arena MMR in TBC Anniversary.

Note: Blizzard’s announcement only mentions a UI display change after matches. There’s no accompanying note about adjustments to MMR formulas, reward thresholds, or matchmaking behavior.

    Why this helps

Seeing the pre-match MMR for both sides makes your rating swings easier to read. If you beat a higher-rated team, you can expect a healthier bump; if you lose to a team well above you, the penalty should feel more reasonable. Over a session, these numbers help you spot patterns in your queue quality so you can decide whether to keep pushing or take a break before decay sets in.

How to use it in your nightlies

After each game, glance at the results panel and note your team’s pre-match MMR alongside your opponents’. If you’re tracking progress in a spreadsheet or addon, jot those two values and the outcome. Over 5–10 games you’ll get a clean picture of when you’re queuing into tougher lobbies, whether it’s a good window to climb, and how big upsets or close losses are influencing your rating trend.

If you’re coaching a partner, use the visible MMR to set expectations for a set: “We’re facing 100–150 MMR up; play tighter, trade cooldowns earlier, and value mirror counter-openers.” Even without changing comps or binds, better read on opponent caliber can calm the post-loss tilt and keep your session focused.

Transmog Outfit & Slot Costs Lowered By 90% – Mists of Pandaria Classic

Transmog Costs Slashed 90% in Mists of Pandaria Classic

Blizzard has implemented a hotfix reducing Transmog outfit and per-slot gold costs by 90% in Mists of Pandaria Classic. The change was confirmed in a brief Blizzard forum update announcing the reduction had gone live.

This follows the arrival of the retail-style Transmog system in MoP Classic, which sparked feedback that initial prices felt out of step with Classic gold economies. For context on that reaction and the hotfix, see Wowhead’s coverage of the cost change.

Blizzard’s rolling hotfix notes also state that the earlier patch had set these prices too high unintentionally. That note appears in the Mists of Pandaria Classic Hotfixes thread updated on June 3.

    • Transmog outfit save costs reduced by 90%.
    • Transmog per-slot application costs reduced by 90%.

Practically, this makes building and swapping appearances far more approachable on mains and alts. If you’ve been holding off on saving a few core outfits (raid, PvP, or just a favorite look), the new pricing makes that planning much easier on your gold. You’ll still pay a fee, but the hit to your purse is a fraction of what it was.

Note: Blizzard’s posts confirm the 90% reduction going forward. They do not mention any refunds or retroactive adjustments for earlier transactions.

  • Season of Discovery Hotfix: You Can Now Turn XP Gains Off (and Back On)

Season of Discovery Hotfix: You Can Now Turn XP Gains Off (and Back On)

Blizzard’s June 10 Season of Discovery hotfix adds a long-requested toggle: you can now turn experience gains off and back on. The change is live now and documented in Blizzard’s hotfix notes.

    How to toggle XP gains

Speak with Grendag Brightbeard in either city to disable or re-enable your XP:

    • Ironforge – Forlorn Cavern
    • Orgrimmar – Valley of Strength

Known issue: If you disable XP and then log out, the setting does not currently persist after you log back in. Blizzard has acknowledged this in the hotfix notes and is investigating.

Cost temporarily removed: While Blizzard works on the persistence issue, the usual 1g fee to disable or re-enable XP is temporarily waived, per the official post.

    Why this matters for SoD

This toggle makes it easier to hold your character at earlier level brackets and revisit content at the intended power level. As highlighted by Wowhead’s coverage, it’s a straightforward way to park at a chosen cap and run bracketed content with friends.

If you’re returning to Season of Discovery or rolling an alt specifically for earlier-phase runs, this saves you from micromanaging quest hand-ins or skipping content to avoid over-leveling—just talk to Grendag, flip the switch, and play.

Until Blizzard resolves the logout persistence bug, double-check your XP setting each session. If your bar starts moving again, a quick visit to Grendag will put the brakes back on.

  • Mists of Pandaria Classic Hotfix — Warrior Tier 15 Set Fix

Mists of Pandaria Classic Hotfix — Warrior Tier 15 Set Fix

Blizzard has released a targeted hotfix for Mists of Pandaria Classic, addressing how the Warrior 4-piece Tier 15 damage set bonus behaves when changing stances.

    According to Community Manager Kaivax:

    Warrior
    • The 4-piece damage Tier 15 set is no longer removed when the player changes stances.
    • The 4-piece damage Tier 15 set is now applied to the player even if they cast Recklessness while in Defensive Stance, but it does not provide any effect and will read as granting 0% increased critical strike chance.
    • The 4-piece damage Tier 15 set now updates dynamically based on the player’s stance. If the player enters Defensive Stance from Battle or Berserker, the buff is set to 0% instead of removed. If the player enters Battle or Berserker Stance from Defensive Stance, the buff is set back to 35% instead of removed.

This change ensures that the Tier 15 bonus persists properly across stance swaps, reducing confusion and improving consistency for Warriors juggling stances during combat.

  • TBC Anniversary Hotfix — Karazhan Chess Event Tweaked!

TBC Anniversary Hotfix — Karazhan Chess Event Tweaked!

Blizzard has just rolled out a small but noteworthy hotfix for World of Warcraft Classic: The Burning Crusade Anniversary celebration!

According to Community Manager Kaivax, the team addressed an issue with one of the most iconic encounters in Karazhan:

Fixed an issue that was causing the Karazhan Chess Event to run much faster than intended, allowing Medivh to cheat more often than he should. Sneaky Medivh!

Players had noticed that the Chess Event was completing at an unusually rapid pace — giving Medivh (and sometimes players!) an advantage that wasn’t part of the design. This hotfix restores the intended pacing and difficulty, ensuring the event feels as epic as it’s meant to be.

  • Hotfix: Riding Skill Fixed for Boosted TBC Characters

Hotfix: Riding Skill Fixed for Boosted TBC Characters

Blizzard has deployed a hotfix today to address an issue affecting Level 58 boosted characters in TBC Classic Anniversary who did not properly receive their Riding skill.

According to Community Manager Kaivax, the problem has now been corrected:

With a hotfix earlier today, we corrected the level of Riding skill for boosted characters who did not receive Riding correctly. Upon completing the first boost quest “A New Beginning”, boosted characters should now automatically receive Apprentice Riding.

What you need to do if you were affected

If you boosted a character and already completed “A New Beginning” but did not receive Apprentice Riding:

👉 Simply log out and log back in — your Riding skill should then be granted automatically.

Blizzard indicated that they are confident in the fix, but they will continue monitoring reports in case any characters are still affected.

    Why this matters

    This fix is important because:

    • Apprentice Riding is required to use most ground mounts
    • Many boosted players were unable to ride properly after using their Level 58 boost
    • This issue could have delayed players preparing for Outland

With this resolved, boosted characters should now be fully ready to step through the Dark Portal when TBC Classic Anniversary launches on February 5, 2026.

  • WoW Mists of Pandaria Classic Hotfixes – December 16, 2025

WoW Mists of Pandaria Classic Hotfixes – December 16, 2025

A new round of hotfixes has been deployed for World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Classic on December 16, 2025.
This update focuses on raid accessibility and tuning, introduces a scalable, optional raid debuff for early MoP tiers, and delivers several class and item fixes, with notable improvements for Priests, plus targeted adjustments for Warlocks and Warriors.

Below, you’ll find the official hotfix notes, reproduced as-is.

    Hotfix Notes (December 16, 2025)

    December 16, 2025

    Mists of Pandaria Classic

    - Mogu’shan Vaults, Heart of Fear, and Terrace of Endless Spring now have
zone wide debuffs applied to all enemy creatures that players can toggle
off if they wish to increase the difficulty to its original level.
This debuff starts at 5% and will increase every 2 weeks up to a total of 30%.

    - Flurky can now be upgraded to rare quality with a Flawless Battle-Stone.

    - Theldurin’s Fist is now correctly mirrored when equipped or transmogrified
      in the off-hand slot.

    - Fixed an issue that was causing the Abominable Greench’s Stolen Treats
      to not grant quest credit.

    Priest
    - Glyph of Focused Mending for Priests should now work correctly and is improved.
If it can’t find one of the original targets to bounce to, it will no longer
fade like it did previously, but instead find a new target.

    - While in an Arena or Battleground, Prayer of Mending no longer incorrectly
refreshes Renew while in Chakra: Serenity.

    - Renews refreshed while Chakra: Serenity is active now correctly refresh
to the maximum Duration + 1 tick (was refreshing to the maximum Duration).

    - Renews refreshed while Chakra: Serenity is active and Glyph of Renew is active,
now correctly do not count the -3 seconds from the Glyph when refreshing
      the duration of the Renew.

    Developers’ notes:
    - This is 15 seconds in Arenas and Battlegrounds, and 18 seconds outside of
arenas and battlegrounds. This is how the Glyph functioned in patch 5.4.8,
      so we’re restoring that behavior.

    Warlock
    - Warlocks will no longer automatically revive their pets at the start of a
Challenge Mode Dungeon, if they have an active Grimoire of Sacrifice.

    Warrior
    - Warriors will now correctly get Rage when struck by Rampage on the Megaera encounter.

    What This Means for Players

    • Raid progression gets smoother with a progressive, opt-out debuff—great for guilds catching up while preserving original difficulty for those who want it.
    • Priest gameplay consistency is restored, especially in PvP, aligning behavior with patch 5.4.8.
    • Edge-case fixes for pets, rage generation, transmogs, and quests clean up long-standing annoyances.

Stay tuned on WCUI for more MoP Classic updates, raid tuning changes, and class hotfix coverage.
